Malaysia’s Street photography community, Fotografi Jalanan Malaysia  (affectionately known as FJM), is one of the largest Street Photography group in Malaysia. One of their main activites for this month is ‘FJM Monthly Outing’. For those who love with the street photography genre, this is the opportunity for them to get the experience and learning the ropes of Street Photography genre from this event.

The event were kicked off around 0830am at PWTC LRT station. From here they started their walk to the first location called ‘Tiong Nam Morning Market’. It’s a nice old market place with a good environment. Members mingle around with the traders and visitors at the market whom are all very friendly and nice.

The next location is ‘Chow Kit wet market’. It is one of the largest wet markets in Kuala Lumpur which was open in May 1955. Formerly known as Raja Bot Municipal Market, the place is full of people from all walks of life doing their shopping daily needs. With the new building, which recently completed, adjacent to the old building, this place is a hit place for Street Photographers capturing people’s daily life.

After the walkabout, the group took a break at the one of the restaurant near the market. Here, members had a drinks to refresh themselves after walking and shooting whole morning while sharing tips and tricks of Street Photography among them.

It’s a great monthly outing with a lot of knowledge sharing among members and got to know each other session. As usual a group photo session ends the outing.
