Aug 2017 : Mesmerizing Mount Bromo

I started as an in-house Photographer of a 5 Star Hotel and then as a Photo Stringer to a Foreign Press (UPI). Managed to get employed in Kodak and was Trained by Kodak as a Quality Controller for the Photo Lab. I am now a Retired Professional Photo Lab owner in Kuala Lumpur for the past 20 past years and going back to pursue my Photography hobby after my retirement 6 yrs ago. Being called to Lecture Part time in Art & Design Colleges and also as a Photography Judge in Both Analogue & Digital Competitions. Got some pictures Selected & used in a Coffee table book (Endau Rompin Revisited) and participated in 2 Photography Exhibitions with friends _ ‘Chiaroscuro I’ and ‘Nature Thru The Lens’. I was recently invited together with another Photographer to share & talk on some of our works in Higashikawa Bunka Gallery, Hokkaido, Japan.

By chance I was invited to join a Group of Travel Photographers to travel to Indonesia to photograph Mount Bromo. Upon reaching our hotel, we needed transport to go up from our hotel to the summit and this is either by booking a Jeep, a pony / small horse or walk. We took the Pony ride.

My pictures include candid shots of the handlers with their pony. We are up there early in the morning and some of my pictures you will see the Morning Mist blanketing the trail that we came. As I am dabbling into Black & White, I find the lines carved out on the Mountain Face as well as the Lava Dust accumulated on ground, intriguing and thus making more trips back there.
